LIABILITY

BY PAYING FOR AND/OR AGREEING TO PARTAKE IN ANY DODGEBALL UK SESSION YOU HEREBY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT:

  1. YOU ARE TAKING PART AT YOUR OWN RISK, AND THAT DODGEBALL UK IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INJURY THAT MAY OCCUR. IF YOU ARE PAYING FOR AN UNDER 16 TO PARTICIPATE YOU ARE EXPLICITLY GIVING PERMISSION FOR THEM TO PLAY AND ASSUMING RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEM .

  2. YOU UNDERSTAND THE BASIC GAME RULES AND AGREE TO PLAY BY THEM. THESE WILL BE EXPLAINED AT THE START OF EACH ONE-OFF EVENT (OR ON THE FIRST WEEK OF THE LEAGUE) AND IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO TURN UP ON TIME FOR THIS BRIEFING.

  3. WHILST EVERY ENDEAVOUR IS TAKEN TO MAKE SURE THE GAME IS RUN WITH MAXIMUM SAFETY, AS WITH ANY SPORT THERE IS A CHANCE OF INJURY. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO WARM-UP PROPERLY AND TO PLAY IN A MANNER THAT IS SENSIBLE AND WITHIN THE RULES. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT YOU WILL BE HIT BY DODGEBALLS THROWN AT YOU – THIS IS AN INTRINSIC PART OF THE GAME OF DODGEBALL!

  4. YOU MAY NOT PARTICIPATE IF UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS.

  5. IF YOU HAVE A PRE-EXISTING HEALTH CONDITION THAT MAY BE RELEVANT OR AFFECTED BY PLAYING DODGEBALL THEN YOU SHOULD LET THE INSTRUCTOR KNOW THIS, AND YOU WILL BE PLAYING COMPLETELY AT YOUR OWN RISK.

  6. IF YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT POSSIBLE INJURY, YOU UNDERSTAND THAT IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO TAKE OUT PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE.

 

PAYMENTS AND REFUNDS

WE TRY TO BE AS FAIR AS POSSIBLE TO ALL OUR CUSTOMERS WHILST EQUALLY SAFEGUARDING OURSELVES AS A BUSINESS. OUR PAYMENT AND REFUND POLICY IS AS FOLLOWS:

  1. WE NORMALLY CANNOT OFFER REFUNDS ON ANY PAYMENT MADE FOR A SESSION. ONCE YOU PAY THE AGREED FEE YOUR TIME-SLOT IS RESERVED EXCLUSIVELY FOR YOU ONLY – WE DO NOT OFFER IT OUT TO OTHER PARTIES.

  2. WE UNDERSTAND THAT THINGS CAN CHANGE, SO IF YOU NEED TO ALTER THE DATE OF YOUR SESSION WE MAY POTENTIALLY BE ABLE TO MOVE IT TO AN ALTERNATIVE DATE FOR YOU. WE WOULD CHARGE YOU ONLY FOR THE COST OF THE VENUE AND REFEREES FOR THE NEW DATE, PLUS AN ADMIN FEE OF £50 TO COVER OUR TIME IN DOING THIS FOR YOU. THIS IS ON A DISCRETIONARY AND CASE-BY-CASE BASIS BUT WE DO ALWAYS TRY TO HELP.

  3. IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO MAKE THE SESSION FOR ANY REASON BUT THE VENUE IS OPEN AND OUR STAFF ARE AVAILABLE WE CANNOT OFFER A REFUND. SADLY THAT IS OUT OF OUR CONTROL AND WE ADVISE GROUPS TO TAKE UP TRAVEL INSURANCE OR LEAVE PLENTY OF TIME TO GET TO THE VENUE. YOU DON'T NEED TO DO YOUR HAIR.

  4. EVERY PLAYER IS REQUIRED TO SIGN A DISCLAIMER BEFORE ENTERING THE PITCH. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS. ALL UNDER 16’S NEED TO BE IN POSSESSION OF SIGNED PARENTAL/GUARDIAN PERMISSION SLIPS. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN FOR ANY PLAYER REFUSING TO SIGN OR WITHOUT THE CORRECT DISCLAIMER FORM.

  5. WE DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES IF THE VENUE IS OPEN AND FIT TO HOST YOUR ACTIVITY, AND WE HAVE A REF/HOST THERE FOR YOUR SESSION.

  6. ANY DAMAGE CAUSED TO THE VENUE OR EQUIPMENT BY YOUR GROUP WILL BE CHARGED TO YOU. DODGEBALL UK ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY VENUE DAMAGE CAUSED BY ANYONE IN YOUR GROUP. THE PERSON BOOKING THE EVENT WITH US WILL BE INVOICED FOR ANY DAMAGE AND THIS WILL NEED TO BE PAID WITHIN 7 DAYS.

WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO NOT ALLOW INDIVIDUALS TO PARTICIPATE WHO ARE; UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS; USE THREATENING LANGUAGE OR BEHAVIOUR; VIOLENT; DO NOT ADHERE TO THE REFEREE’S INSTRUCTIONS AND THE RULES WE PLAY BY. ANY PERSON UNDER 16 WITHOUT A SIGNED CONSENT FORM WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PLAY.
